Because the crumbs of comfort are music to my ears
Can I navigate or find the route I have designed
I have a score to settle and certain things in mind]


Patterns on the outside, a key inside the top
Giving us accompaniment to which we surely bop
Certainly a resonance coming from the tin
Maybe this assortment will allow me to begin


If music be the food of love, then biscuits must be too
So if you eat enough of them the music will feed you
Slowly pick the currants out and place them on the staves
Tasty music made this way, everyone will crave


First I look at rock and roll, cake and fig that is
But that's no good, so think about the use of digestives
A wagon wheel presents itself, it's not yet fallen off
The idea has been done before; the wheel I'll have to scoff


Sea shanties do come to mind, with sight of dog biscuits
Then quickly I am moving on for I cannot risk it
What about a melody that sticks inside the head
No I cannot find it, just a pack of old crisp bread


The music of the spheres, the lyrics of your dreams
Surely they will be revealed, just after custard creams
From a garibaldi, I see a light fandango
But after Alfajores, it turns into a tango


I'm searching for a cracker, a tune whose memory lingers
But for now can only find, seven chocolate fingers
Coming to the ginger crunch, have I made a song
Or should I throw my hand in, and have a small bourbon
