Whirlygig

from Lyrics by Thursday's Child

lyrics

Whirlygig
Ken Punshon 2009

Whirlygig, roundabout, don't know what's hit me
Can't quite keep my feet on the floor
Spacing out, freaking out, writing this ditty
Can't stop thinking 'bout the girl I adore.

Will she come, won't she come, love her so dearly
I don't know what is happening to me
There she is, no it's not, I can't see clearly
Got it so bad that I can't even see

Here she is, look at her, simply quite stunning
How come she wants to go out with me
Will it last, can it last, my heart is humming
This is the way that life really should be

Where'd she go, why'd she go, she left so quickly
Left my broken heart on the floor
Where am I, what am I, now I'm so sickly
Feeling bad since she walked out the door

Whirlygig, roundabout, don't know what hit me
Another girl just walked through that door
Spacing out, freaking out, she's very pretty
Don't remember that last girl anymore.
Don't remember that last girl anymore.

about

Thursday's Child UK

Thursday's Child was born on a Monday (August Bank Holiday 2009)!

Chris Pyam and Ken Punshon got together to try out a couple of ideas for songs. That afternoon they created about eight songs; since then over 100 more have emerged, with a few more 'bubbling away'.

Heather Dunn joined us in Nov 13 to contribute additional harmonies during the creation of our third album (Carry My Thoughts).
