lyrics

Winter Follows Summer
Ken Punshon
Words 1970, Melody 2009

As I sit here in maths this morn
And while away the hours
My thoughts spring out to summer
To sunshine and new flowers

I long to hold my love's sweet hand
To walk along the lanes
As soft sweet summer breezes
Blow away life's weary chains

What cares have we when hand in hand
We stroll life's twisting street
And hear the sound behind us
Of gaily tripping feet

Thus gamely do we struggle on
Until at last we die
And then together side by side
Till eternity we lie.

about

Thursday's Child UK

Thursday's Child was born on a Monday (August Bank Holiday 2009)!

Chris Pyam and Ken Punshon got together to try out a couple of ideas for songs. That afternoon they created about eight songs; since then over 100 more have emerged, with a few more 'bubbling away'.

Heather Dunn joined us in Nov 13 to contribute additional harmonies during the creation of our third album (Carry My Thoughts).
