A storm is brewing along the road
The charge is building, high tension showed
The state of flux, the air corrodes
We're destined for a storm

Peals of thunder, rumble round
Now we're trembling, uncertain ground
Like a whirlwind, words fly round
In the heart of the storm

With the downpour, comes suspense
Stiffling pressure, nerves are tense
Cold as ice, the air is dense
We're succumbing to the storm


Raindrops in the eye, in the false calm
Light winds clear the skies, shelt'ring us from harm

Surrounded on all sides, by towering stormy walls
Tension now subsides, as the pressure falls

Time to re-assess
In the eye, of the storm


Come the eyewall, we're plunged again
Into the vortex, of lashing rain
Causing weals, inflicting pain
At the mercy of the storm

Static charges, tempers goad
In a flash, it all explodes
