about

Watching ships on the misty Baltic Sea, musing about life, the universe, and everything.

lyrics

Baltic
Ken Punshon & Chris Pyam 2012

Standing on the starboard side
Pondering
Watching ships from far and wide
Reflecting
Crest the waves, then sink in trough
Watch the water cascade off
Considering, considering

Across the sea their wakes leave trails
Remembering
Gainst the winds their routes prevail
Revisiting
Propellers pounding corkscrew spume
Bubbles as the ocean's plume
Imagining, imagining

Some are wood and some are steel
Some are ghosts and some are real
Some there's noone at the wheel
Intending

In their endeavours they're engrossed
Concentrating
Stopping all along the coasts
Speculating
Engines now, but still they sail
Scorching heat or freezing gale
Reasoning, reasoning

Where've they been, where do they go
Wondering
What are their names, we'll never know
Regretting
Sailing for their countries far
Guided by the northern star
Analysing, analysing

about

Thursday's Child UK

Thursday's Child was born on a Monday (August Bank Holiday 2009)!

Chris Pyam and Ken Punshon got together to try out a couple of ideas for songs. That afternoon they created about eight songs; since then over 100 more have emerged, with a few more 'bubbling away'.

Heather Dunn joined us in Nov 13 to contribute additional harmonies during the creation of our third album (Carry My Thoughts).
