about

A cheerful story of death in Nashville.

lyrics

Murder
Ken Punshon & Chris Pyam (2013)

One hand held the whisky, the other held a gun.
Pointing straight towards me, daring me to run
His blood flecked eyes were staring
At the clothes that she'd been wearing
But she was well past caring
What anyone had done

[Blood on the ceiling, blood on the floor
Blood on the curtains, and blood right up the door
Splattered on the table, smeared across the chair
Never seen so much blood as was there]

His clothing was dishevelled, his hair was lank and greased.
Appearance dark and swarthy, face with lines was creased
Chin was stubble half grown
A voice with croaky tone
Asked if I had known
The girl that was deceased

Now I am regretting as I sit here in this cell
The Detective did his job, and he did it oh so well
Might hold him in contempt
He may have been unkempt
But at his first attempt
He'd sounded my death knell

about

Thursday's Child UK

Thursday's Child was born on a Monday (August Bank Holiday 2009)!

Chris Pyam and Ken Punshon got together to try out a couple of ideas for songs. That afternoon they created about eight songs; since then over 100 more have emerged, with a few more 'bubbling away'.

Heather Dunn joined us in Nov 13 to contribute additional harmonies during the creation of our third album (Carry My Thoughts).
